Where It All Began
Growing up in Nigeria, music was everywhere. From the church choirs in Imo State to the vibrant sounds echoing through the streets of Rivers State, I was surrounded by rhythm and melody from my earliest memories. My parents always encouraged me to sing, and by the time I was a teenager, I knew that music was not just a hobby — it was my calling.
Born Adokiye Ngozi Kyrian to a Christian family, my musical journey was deeply influenced by gospel music. The powerful harmonies and uplifting messages in church shaped my understanding of how music can touch souls and bring people together.
Discovering Afro-Fusion
As I grew older, I began exploring different genres — from traditional Nigerian folk music to contemporary R&B and pop. I realized that I didn't want to limit myself to one style. That's when I discovered Afro-fusion — a genre that allows me to blend the rich musical heritage of Africa with modern global sounds.
Afro-fusion isn't just a genre for me; it's a way of expressing my identity. It allows me to honor my roots while connecting with listeners around the world. Every beat, every melody carries a piece of my heritage.
The Songs That Define Me
Each song I create tells a story. "Glory," my collaboration with Sym19, is a celebration of faith and gratitude. "Back Up" and "Love U Better" showcase different sides of my artistry — from energetic dance tracks to soulful love songs. "Baby Baby" with Olamide was a crowd-moving collaboration that showed the power of bringing different styles together.
I believe in versatility, in not being afraid to explore different emotions and sounds. Music is a journey, and every song is a new step on that path.
